The promotion of key messages in the newly published Provision of Services for People with Vascular Disease 2021 document will be a central goal, as will ongoing COVID-19 recovery work following a significant drop in vascular cases performed during the pandemic. Considering developments in the vascular field more broadly, Boyle stresses the need for more data on the long-term performance of vascular devices, anticipating the field will be in a “very strong position” in the next year or two to start identifying why sometimes devices do not work as well as they should.
