Despite there being a “strong evidence base” for the value of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) in peripheral arterial interventions, use of the technology is inconsistent on a case-by-case basis. This is according to Ashish Patel (London, UK), co-author of a new Delphi consensus that hopes to address this variability in practice and provide clinicians with a structured guide for optimal use.
