Sentante has announced it has secured CE-mark approval for its flagship device—a multi-domain robotic platform technology—marking a “major transition” from research and development to full commercial readiness. That is according to a press release from the company.
This certification enables Sentante to begin marketing and selling its robotic technology across European markets, following a period of “intensive” development and regulatory validation.
“This is a defining moment for Sentante,” said Edvardas Satkauskas, chief executive officer (CEO) and co-founder of Sentante. “Achieving CE mark is not only a validation of our technology, but also of the rigorous work undertaken by our team to meet the highest regulatory standards. We are now positioned to move decisively into commercialisation and begin delivering real impact for clinicians and patients.”
Sentante’s device is designed to support endovascular procedures with enhanced precision and control, redefining and addressing critical needs in endovascular interventional procedures, the company claims—also noting that, with CE-mark approval, it can now partner with hospitals and healthcare providers across Europe to integrate the technology into routine clinical practice.
The approval follows a series of regulatory milestones achieved in recent months, underscoring the robustness of Sentante’s development programme and its commitment to safety, efficacy, and quality, the company adds.
“Transitioning from an R&D [research and development]-focused organisation to a commercial-stage company is a significant step,” commented Sentante co-founder Tomas Baltrunas. “We have built the foundations not only to launch successfully, but to scale, ensuring that our innovation reaches the patients who need it most.”
Sentante will now focus on initial market rollout, clinician training, and expanding its commercial footprint, while continuing to advance its product pipeline. The company recently unveiled its digital indeflator—a precision-controlled system that replaces the traditional manual indeflator used in endovascular procedures like angioplasty and stent deployment.
