Charing Cross (CX) Symposium co-chair Andrew Holden (Auckland City Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand) received the VIVA Foundation’s 2026 LIVE Award yesterday morning.

The prestigious accolade recognises vascular specialists who have “dedicated their professional careers to educating students, postgraduate trainees and peers in all aspects of vascular medicine and intervention”.

Holden was presented with the award by Parag Patel (Milwaukee, USA), a member of the VIVA Foundation board of directors, during a morning session at the VIVA (Vascular InterVentional Advances) 2026 annual meeting (4–7 October, Las Vegas, USA).

Holden, a world renowned interventional radiologist, has been a CX co-chair—alongside Dittmar Böckler (University Hospital Heidelberg, Heidelberg, Germany) and Erin Murphy (Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, Charlotte, North Carolina)—since 2024.
