Outcomes from the first-in-human (FIH) trial of the investigational Nectero endovascular aneurysm stabilisation treatment (EAST) system (Nectero Therapeutics) with pentagalloylglucose (PGG) demonstrated a clinically meaningful low annual abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) growth rate. Through two years, 41 patients (median baseline AAA 4.3cm) treated with PGG had a median annual growth rate of 1mm per year, representing a significant reduction in the expected growth rate.
