This year, the meeting’s second, 600 attendees, 100 more than in 2003, could be accommodated. Laptop Learning allowed the attendees to access the VIVA intranet for presentations, abstracts, resource library, and to send questions and messages to the faculty. Live cases came from Stanford University in California and Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC. The Simulation Pavilion featured simulations with the Mentice, Medical Simulation and Simbionix companies.

During the Aortoiliac artery revascularization symposium, chaired by Dr Tony Das, Dr John Kaufman presented on the diagnosis of aortoiliac artery disease and endovascular revascularization techniques and devices.
