Phil Nowell, who has served as global leader of Cook Medical’s Aortic Intervention business unit since February 2008, has been promoted to vice president of that division, Cook announced in December 2010.
In his new role, Nowell will continue to have global responsibility for the sales and marketing, product development, financial performance and general management of Cook’s Zenith line of endovascular devices and accessories for endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms (EVAR). Prior to being named global business unit leader, he had served as that unit’s national sales director since 2004.
“Phil is a tireless proponent of Cook’s Zenith technology for aortic intervention and a valued business leader with a proven track record of managing the global operations of one of our largest and fastest-growing divisions,” said Pete Yonkman, Cook’s executive vice president of Strategic Business Units. “In promoting him to vice president, I know he will share his passion for success and commitment to Cook’s core values of superior patient outcomes with everyone around him.”
