Four UK-based experts on the management of chronic limb-threatening ischaemia (CLTI) sat down at the 2025 Charing Cross (CX) Symposium to discuss the landscape of care, current challenges, and potential solutions to reduce both the prevalence of CLTI and amputations.
Naseer Ahmad (Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK) steered the wide-ranging discussion through the realms of hospital, community, and public healthcare, all against the backdrop of a growing, ageing, and increasingly diabetes-prone population.
Joining Ahmad in the CX Studio were Matthew Popplewell (University of Birmingham, Birmingham, UK), Michael Edmonds (King’s College London, London, UK) and Hani Slim (King’s College Hospital, London, UK).
